Federal Financial Management Self-Paced Instructor/SME (Contract)

Independent Contractor (1099) • Remote • Flexible, Project-Based

About us

Graduate School USA (GSUSA) provides professional training for the federal workforce. We're building self-paced online courses in federal financial management and need an experienced financial management professional to record the course videos.

The role

  • Review our finished scripts and course materials for accuracy before recording.
  • Record short instructional videos (each about 4 minutes or less) delivering the scripts on camera, using your own equipment.
  • Record the first video for our approval before recording the rest of the course, so we lock in the style up front.
  • Make reasonable revisions and re-records at no extra cost until each video is accepted.
  • Work one course at a time on a flexible schedule we agree to together.

Who you are

  • 8+ years in federal financial management or budgeting (10+ preferred), whether as a federal employee, contractor, instructor, or consultant.
  • Know the material across budget formulation and justification, Planning/Programming/Budgeting/Execution (PPBE), cost and activity analysis, and federal travel (FTR), well enough to deliver it credibly and flag obvious errors.
  • Comfortable and clear presenting on camera (required).
  • Have your own recording equipment and a quiet, professional setup.
  • A certification such as CGFM, CDFM, CPA, or PMP is a plus.

Compensation

  • Approximately $35 to $65 per hour.
  • Independent-contractor (1099) engagement: you set your own hours and handle your own taxes and equipment.
